With so many aspects of my personality that would inspire disgust and hatred, I could choose to despise myself for my perverse fascinations in art/sex/music. But I would probably end up killing myself or living in great unhappiness in a convert. Both of those are unsatisfactory to me. So instead, I decided to accept them as part of me. Self love is all I have.
